Version: Prelaunch 1.0
Effective: August 29, 2026
1. Who We Are
Boreinu created and operates the Psalms Anytime website, web app, Android app, and related services. In this policy, “Psalms Anytime,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Boreinu as the service operator. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to privacy@boreinu.com.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, a securely hashed representation of your password, acceptance of the Terms and Privacy Policy, age attestation, and basic locale or time-zone information used to operate the service.
Prayer and App Content
We store personal prayer requests you choose to create, including their summary, optional detail, status, favorites, archive and deletion state, assigned Psalms, and prayer history. Prayer content may reveal religious beliefs, health circumstances, family relationships, or other sensitive information about you or another person. Share only what is appropriate and necessary.
Preferences, Devices, and Synchronization
We may store theme favorites, reading and prayer-flow settings, registered app-device records, synchronization state, content-pack state, and the actions needed to keep your data consistent between the app and service.
Technical and Security Information
Our servers may process IP address, request time, requested route, response status, limited device or browser information, and security or error events. We minimize logs and do not intentionally place prayer text, passwords, authentication tokens, or full sensitive request data in ordinary application logs.
This Marketing Website
This website does not currently use analytics, advertising trackers, account cookies, or contact forms. If you email us, your email provider and ours process the message and address.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide account access, Psalm content, prayer requests, assignments, history, favorites, and synchronization.
- Keep the service secure, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain reliable operations.
- Show advisory safety information when limited automated rules identify language that may indicate an urgent concern. The current service is not continuously monitored and no automated decision alone should be treated as professional or emergency assessment.
- Respond to support, privacy, accessibility, and account-deletion requests.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. Storage on Your Device
Native app builds may keep encrypted account data, drafts, queued changes, and downloaded Psalm content on your device so enabled features can work with limited connectivity. Authentication tokens use platform-protected storage on native devices. Web authentication tokens are designed to remain in process memory rather than persistent browser storage. Removing the app or local account data does not by itself delete server data; use the Account Deletion process for that.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose the minimum necessary information:
- To infrastructure and service providers acting for us under appropriate confidentiality and security terms.
- When required by valid law or legal process.
- To protect a person's safety, the service, our rights, or others where disclosure is permitted by law.
- As part of a lawful organizational change, with notice and continued protection where required.
The current individual-prayer app does not make personal requests public or share them with ordinary users. Future group or public-sharing features would require a clear, affirmative audience choice and an updated policy before launch.
6. Retention and Deletion
We keep account information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide, secure, and document the service. A prayer request moved to Recently Deleted can be recoverable for 30 days before scheduled purge. When an account-deletion request is verified, we revoke sessions and delete or irreversibly anonymize account-linked content unless limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
Encrypted backups may remain for up to 35 days after deletion. They are isolated from ordinary use and deleted through the backup cycle. If a backup is restored, overdue deletion and retention work must run before the restored service accepts normal traffic.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where consent applies, or appeal a decision. You may also use an authorized agent where local law provides that right. We may need to verify identity and authority before acting. Use Account Deletion or email privacy@boreinu.com. You may complain to your local privacy regulator.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted transport, password hashing, access controls, and encryption for supported native local data. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Personal requests are not end-to-end encrypted: authorized service systems can process them to provide the app.
9. Children
The current registration experience requires users to attest that they are at least 18. We do not knowingly offer accounts to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to these requirements, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
10. International Use
The service is operated with primary infrastructure in the United States. If you use it elsewhere, information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other locations used by approved service providers. We apply protections required for those transfers where applicable.
11. Changes to This Policy
We will post the current version and effective date here. If a change materially affects how registered users' information is handled, we will provide appropriate notice and request affirmative acceptance where required. Continued use or silence will not be treated as consent where the law requires an affirmative choice.
12. Contact
Email privacy@boreinu.com. Please do not send passwords or prayer-request content by email.
